Ali Trust Free Eye Hospital, Okara
A unique project in philanthropy, Ali Trust Free Teaching Eye Hospital is a flagship project of Ali Trust Pakistan. It was established in 1983 with the specific purpose of providing free ophthalmology services to the underprivileged segments of society particularly focusing on southern Punjab and parts of Sindh and Balochistan. During its 40 years of existence, Ali Trust Free Teaching Eye Hospital has provided treatment to thousands of patients. The hospital has an average outpatient load of 500 – 600 patients per day, while 60-70 surgeries are performed every day. Restoring eyesight is among the most satisfying pursuits and our hospital provides state of the art treatment facilities, free of charges.
Ali Trust Hospital is one of the 91 centers in the world accredited for International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) fellowships.
It has also been approved by College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan for training of postgraduate students aspiring to do MCPS in the discipline of ophthalmology.
